Using the ElectroNanospray™ process to apply nanoformulated drugs onto the surface of a medical device offers capabilities for site-specific delivery of biologic and drug compounds. Therapeutic compounds can be combined with various polymers and excipients to engineer the desired release characteristics. The operation is a single step process that can generate both single-phase and multiple-phase coatings with a variety of surface characteristics.

The Business
Nanocopoeia works in collaboration with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device partners to solve key formulation and delivery challenges. Nanocopoeia provides enabling technology to corporate partners in support of research collaborations. Revenue is generated based on research services, milestones and licensing, production of clinical trial material and royalties generated from formulations and coated devices that reach the commercial market.
